It's a fact that in our society today women are often prioritizing others' needs above their own. Maybe you are balancing a lot and often at the end of the day you feel BEYOND exhausted. If you ever take time for yourself, you may feel selfish, guilty, or believe you can't because your to-do list needs to be done first. And yet YOU NEED this time to rejuvenate. But do you take it? No. What happens when you don't take care of yourself? You find yourself snappy over little things, drinking coffee at any hour in the day to stay awake, getting sick for days at a time, or maybe feeling discontent in your life and disconnected from your loved ones. That is awful! Your needs are not being met. In truth, it is no one's responsibility, but your own to get your needs met. But what if you don't know how?
Hi, I'm Lindsey Peterson, Founder of the Responsive Woman.
I felt inadequate and unable to overcome my fears or even manage difficult feelings. I was the queen of avoiding. But when I did this I only trapped myself in survival mode. I was checked out from my life, not happy, and felt stuck. Until one day when I decided I was sick of being sick and tired. AND I was willing and ready to make a change. I took whatever energy and motivation I had in me to research, compile what I had learned, and discover a way out of survival mode.
I created an approach called the "Conscious Response Blueprint" for myself to get out of survival mode and rediscover the best version of me. And little did I know... but this approach did not just work for me it also has worked for numerous women as well. It's been a journey of healing my own emotional wounds that continues to this day. Daily I have to remind myself of what I can do: I can pause, take a breath, not fix everything right this moment, and focus on what I can control. These practices have transformed my life! I now feel calm, confident in myself and connected to my loved ones. I'd love to invite you to join me in your own healing and transformative work as well!
